Advantages of hosting a destination wedding in Mukteshwar, Nainital: The biggest advantage : Proximity to Delhi (7-8 hrs)– which means getting to Mukteshwar from Lucknow, Bareilly, Ghaziabad, Noida or other North Indian Cities – a breeze. Cheap flights (to Pantnagar), convenient volvos, and short train journeys in Shatabdi express trains – make Mukteshwar a superb place to have a weekend wedding getaway. For the non-ceremony times, there are a host of adventure treks and temples that can be visited, places for shopping inside the resort and wonderful spa options at Casa Dream Hotel – making the day full of activities. The proximity also means that you get wonderful options in terms of Photographers, Planners, Decor & Design folks & some really important wedding vendors like – Pagdi-wala (the guys who tie traditional turbans), Mehendi-walis (Henna Artists) and Traditional Entertainers (Folk Dancers, Musicians, Lacquer Bangle Makers, Puppet shows, etc.)

Logistics:  Staying at two different resorts will be required for groups larger than 150 persons. Reaching Mukteshwar, however – is really easy. Another good thing about Mukteshwar area is – when coming from Delhi side – you can go via Pantnagar/Rudrapur area, and visit Corbett national park on your return journey. So you don’t have to return via the same road you reached the resort.

What to Keep in Mind: Buses with more than 30 seats are not allowed by government to go beyond Kathgodam (2 hrs before resort). Chilling Cold from December-End to January, Rains from Mid-July to Mid-August.  There are indoor halls all well-connected by covered corridors and lift access. So nobody will get wet.
